Courts Open Day is one of the most popular events during Law Week. But if you weren’t one of the 3,000 people who attended the courts during Law Week 2012, you now have another opportunity to visit the Supreme Court of Victoria during another open day. The Supreme Court will open up to the public for just one day during History Week. Always a popular event, this is a rare opportunity to have a look behind the scenes at this heritage listed building.
The Supreme Court has been in the current building on William Street since 1884 and boasts classical Renaissance Revival style, well worth a visit. This is also an opportunity to learn about the history of the building, including the Supreme Court Library, located in the inner courtyard.
